I live in New Jersey. When I was eleven years old my father brought home a beat-up old manual typewriter and put it in the room I shared with my older brother. I wrote my first story on that metallic beast a month later. And I have been writing ever since. A few decades back, before the Berlin Wall came down, I served as an infantryman in the 101st Airborne Division. After my stint in the army, it was off the college. Then I knocked around for a couple of decades, working jobs too boring to mention here, and eventually I earned my MFA in Creative Writing at Fairleigh Dickinson University. Currently, I teach first-year writing and literature at Rowan College at Gloucester County and Stockton University.
