Things of the Earth: Day 29 at the Tupelo Press 30/30 Project

Here is my offering for Day 29 at the Tupelo Press 30/30 Project:

Things of the EarthOBfin2

It is hard to believe that twenty-nine days have passed since the July 2013 Tupelo Press 30/30 Project has begun. This month I have corresponded with the wonderful poets in my group as well as the folks at Tupelo Press. Everyone has been supportive beyond measure. For that, I thank them.

With only a couple of days left, I can see the finish line as this poetry marathon draws to an end. Along the way, I have learned a great deal; mostly, always be receptive to going outside your comfort zone where poetry is concerned. Had I not been a part of this project and exposed to the wonderful poets in my group, I doubt I would have written the poems I did for this endeavor.

Yes, the end draws near. Sounds ominous, no? But all jokes aside, Tupelo Press, a non-profit publisher, is still in need of your generosity. So please stop by , read some poems, and donate today.

My Day 23 poem at Tupelo Press 30/30 Project

It’s been 23 days since I began my “poetry writing marathon” and I am in good company which makes it maybe not easier but bearable.

Stop on over today at the Tupelo Press 30/30 Project and enjoy the work.

Please donate and help support this small non-profit publisher. If you do, be sure to add my name or another poet’s name on the donation form marked “In honor of.” We will send you a word of thanks and you may end up with some free gifts.

And if you are a poet, the 30/30 Project is looking for volunteers for future months ahead. Details can be found at the project website.
